History Lesson, Section 2

Hey, so today as I was writing, I found a folder with some of my old stuff in it. Way back when I wrote the first chapters I had also writen a complete exhaustive history to my world. So I figured as I come to the diffrent places in the story I'll give you the little history behind it. Don't worry, if you don't like history you don't have to read it.

In the old days, the entire land was coverd in a large forest. The Elves had taken it for their home and saw to its care and well being. The Fyre Ghouls and the Ice Ghouls ruled on the western continent and the Children of Man lived to the far South. Then, a small party of men followed an elvish path through the forest and arrived in the Northern Lands. Thinking that they would never again see their home, they named the clearing Alexandria and decided to make a new life and a new home.

They built a magnificent kingdom over centuries and grew to surround the entire bay of Bho. But then there was a malitary coup and the leaders established the Republic of Koal. They grew and prospered and soon a powerful Duke led a rebellion and established the Duchy of Garlan. Then the Duchy and the Republic went to war with the Empire that had stood for a thousand years. They were victorious, and their condition was that the people be allowed to decided if they still wished to reign underneath the Monarchs. The majority said no and the Republic of Stocken was established. The Empire was given a small section of land, the original boundaries of the settlement, and renamed the Kingdom of Alexandria.

After many years, Koal had split into the Republic of Koal and the Republic of Lumph. One of the Dukes of Garlan left the Duchy to both sons. The one immediately took his portion and declared independence and formed the Duchy of Ferplice. Their descendants were eventually joined and the land left to three sons. The two gained Garlan and Firplice and the last one was given a small area in the middle that was known as the Duchy of Giv. Years later the Duchy of Firplice was toppled by Lumph infiltrators and the Republic of Firplice was set up. Soon after, half of the Republic succeeded and reformed the duchy as New Firplice. Garland was later renamed the Duchy of Hestia.

In the end, the many nations had become nothing but a conglomeration of small states. Then the Winter of the Snow Wolves made the states aware of their frailty. So, under the leadership of the Republic of Lumph; the Republic of Coal, the Republic of Firplice, the Republic of Stockin, the Duchy of Hestia, the Duchy of Gevt, and New Firplice all banded together to form the Wreath Confederacy. They also invited the Kingdom of Alexandria to join, however it never officially replied to the offer. They made Yulleton ther capitol, the capitol of Mankind.
